Video Creates Success

170_left_create_video.jpgStreaming Video is a powerful tool to communicate your business message, in a story designed to appeal to your target audience.  Make it entertaining to emotionally bond your viewer to your message.

Your marketing video is distributed on video sharing sites, including Youtube , which receives 20% of all global Internet traffic, and pays for all your streaming costs.  Anyone can embed your video on websites of their choice, which spreads the reach of your marketing message.  Embed your video in Social Networking Sites, such as Facebook and mySpace, which let you build Pages to market your business to their members.

Associated with your video is your URL link, which prompts viewers to visit your website, to experience more of what you have to offer, and direct them to a point-of-sale.

Vancouver Web Solutions creates high-quality videos produced by award-winning  video producer Peter Feuersenger.

Producing Your Video
By Peter Feuersenger

movie_clapboard.jpgHave high standards.  There is a language of story-telling.

Learn your video’s intended target audience and it’s primary communication objective.

Your primary communications objective is the spine of your video’s story.  The more simple this can be summarized, the more effective your video will be.

Your video may have more than one communication objective, but all objectives should be related to the primary one.

Your target audience dictates the style of your video.  You don’t want to alienate them, or offend them.

Know what you need to budget.

Before creating the video budget, survey what is available to shoot, including lighting requirements and other production needs.

With this knowledge write a short summary of the proposed script, designed to work with your estimated budget.

Client Approval

If your video client is more than one person who must provide input, have them agree on one person to have final approval.

A client approved script is achieved typically by the second draft, after feedback to the first draft has been incorporated.

The first draft script is based on the treatment, which has been designed based on an interview with the client, and research.

Plan what you need to shoot, before you shoot it.

Work on a time-table, on schedule.

Be organized and efficient.  This saves you a lot of time, later.

Search Engine Optimize Your  Video

Five Tips to optimize your online videos:

  1. Insert keywords into your video filenames.
  2. Host your videos on YouTube, and embed those YouTube videos into your own site. Google's search algorithms consider how many times a video is viewed. Views of your embedded videos on your own site get added to the 'views' tally on YouTube.
  3. Optimize your YouTube videos by writing keywords into your videos' titles, descriptions, and tags.
  4. Embed videos into relevant text pages on your site. The context provided by the text on those pages, also optimized for search, will help search engines determine what your videos are about.
  5. Create a video library on your site, so Google knows where to locate your video content.  Google Video Sitemaps helps with this. Write keyword-rich annotations for each video in the library.
